Work that makes a difference.

We work with leadership teams and organisations at real moments of change. The work is always tailored to the people, the context, and what the moment requires.

These case studies offer a window into what that looks like in practice: the challenges leaders brought to us, how we worked together, and what shifted as a result.

From Surface-Level Communication to Real Team Connection

Performance Leadership Transformation | EMEA | Pharmaceutical

Most importantly, leadership moved from concept to reality - showing up consistently in the conversations that drive results.

TURNING LEADERSHIP CONVERSATIONS INTO A PERFORMANCE ENGINE

OUTCOME

BACKGROUND
WHAT WE DID

The EMEA leadership team had strong individual capability and clear strategic ambition, but performance was not translating consistently across teams. Misalignment between functions, unclear cascades of objectives, and hesitation to address performance gaps early were creating friction and inefficiency.

Leaders were often “helping” rather than truly driving accountability and ownership, resulting in missed opportunities to unlock higher performance.

The experience focused on three critical leadership shifts:

  • Setting clear expectations with clarity, focus, and shared understanding
  • Signalling early to address performance gaps with courage and discipline
  • Stretching performance by building a culture of learning, ownership, and growth

Brought to life through structured conversations, real-play scenarios, and practical frameworks, the workshop centred on live leadership challenges, peer coaching, and reflection. Leaders left with practical conversation tools they could immediately apply and continue using with their teams.
Leaders shifted from reactive management to proactive performance leadership:

  • Clearer and more actionable alignment across teams
  • Earlier and more confident accountability conversations
  • Greater ownership and accountability
  • More consistent leadership behaviours and performance
  • Stronger clarity and focus with less wasted effort

Despite strong leadership capability performance was limited and execution was slowed down due to inconsistent alignment, unclear expectations, and delayed accountability conversations.

Team Effectiveness & Communication | DACH| Consumer Goods

Most importantly, the offsite created a step-change in how the team relates to each other - laying the foundation for stronger collaboration, better decisions, and more sustainable performance.

FROM SURFACE-LEVEL COMMUNICATION TO REAL TEAM CONNECTION

OUTCOME

BACKGROUND
WHAT WE DID

The team came together with a clear need: improve communication. While collaboration was functional, conversations often stayed at a surface level, with individuals listening to respond rather than to truly understand.

This led to missed perspectives, unresolved tensions, and limited psychological safety - making it harder to build trust, challenge each other constructively, and unlock the full potential of the team.

We focused on shifting how the team communicates, listens, and thinks together.
  • Listen differently - moving from transactional listening to deeper, more empathetic understanding
  • Practise curiosity and empathy - exploring real challenges through structured peer conversations
  • Build self-awareness - recognising personal triggers, behaviours, and responses in moments of tension
  • Create honest dialogue - surfacing underlying dynamics and perspectives that often remain unspoken
  • Practise appreciation - strengthening connection by recognising and valuing one another
  • Think more deeply - using The Art of Thinking to move beyond jumping to solutions and explore ideas more broadly

Through small group work, coaching exercises, and deep reflective practices, the team experienced what better communication feels like - not just what it sounds like.
The team shifted from transactional interaction to more open, human, and effective collaboration.
  • Deeper listening focused on understanding rather than reacting
  • More honest and meaningful conversations
  • Greater trust, openness, and psychological safety
  • More intentional responses to tension and disagreement
  • Stronger shared language for thinking and decision-making
  • Greater confidence to challenge and address difficult topics

A lack of deep listening, open dialogue, and trust was limiting collaboration and preventing the team from addressing underlying tensions and working effectively together.

Strategy Alignment & Leadership Offsite | EMEA | Consumer Goods

Most importantly, strategy moved from understanding to ownership - with leaders more aligned, adaptable, and ready to lead it forward.

EADING THROUGH COMPLEXITY: BUILDING ALIGNMENT, ADAPTABILITY AND COLLECTIVE LEADERSHIP

OUTCOME

BACKGROUND
WHAT WE DID

The EMEA leadership team came together at a critical moment: the strategy was clear at the top, but not yet fully understood, owned, or consistently translated into action across the organisation.

Leaders were navigating competing priorities, questions around resources and capacity, tensions between global and regional needs, and the challenge of bringing their teams along. At the same time, increasing complexity required them to navigate ambiguity and paradox rather than simply execute a plan.

We focused on aligning strategy, strengthening leadership capability, and building momentum for execution:
  • Create strategic clarity - bringing key initiatives to life through deep dives, small-group dialogue, and collective thinking
  • Strengthen cross-functional alignment - creating space for challenge, transparency, and deeper understanding across functions
  • Navigate paradox - moving beyond premature either/or thinking to work more effectively with competing demands
  • Adapt under pressure - using the 4C Model to respond more intentionally through Compassion, Confrontation, Choice, and Commitment
  • Turn dialogue into ownership - using real conversations, peer exchange, and reflection to move beyond content delivery
  • Through small group work, coaching exercises, and deep reflective practices, the team experienced what better communication feels like - not just what it sounds like.

The offsite deliberately balanced strategic clarity with leadership transformation - ensuring leaders didn’t just understand the strategy, but could lead it.
  • Clearer understanding of the strategy and what it meant in practice
  • Stronger alignment around shared priorities, direction, and ambition
  • Greater cross-functional understanding and connection
  • More confident communication and cascading of the strategy
  • More adaptive thinking when navigating paradoxes and competing demands
  • Greater ownership and readiness to drive execution

A clear strategy existed, but leaders were struggling to create shared understanding, navigate competing demands, and have the conversations needed to move forward together. Success required not only strategic clarity, but the ability to think collectively, navigate paradoxes, and adapt under pressure.
